The Virginia Business Travel Association Conference

Last November I was a speaker at the Virginia Business Travel Association conference held in Roanoke at the Sheraton Conference Center.  Our discussions were about putting on business meetings, and what the industry looks like these days. My comments were that there is a healthy increase in the meetings business for this year and to expect continual increases in business travel and conferences throughout 2013 with demand being high while the supply of rooms is not expected to increase. Further, hotel rates are on the movement up, as demand increases and supply does not. It will become a sellers’ market rather than a buyers’ market when it comes to managing meetings and conventions.

Here are some photos Laurie Scott took at the conference.
